SS421 series clamp on pressure sensor are designed with piezoresistive sensor technology. The piezoresistive silicon chip is anodically bonded to a very stable glass base attached to a stainless steel construction. This assembly guarantees excellent thermal insulation. A stainless steel diaphragm (1.4404 / 316L) and a filling liquid isolate the chip from the process. This stable structure, coupled with a high-performance electronics circuit, offers the sensors a high accuracy over a wide temperature range, excellent repeatability, and long-term stability.
SS421 series clamp on pressure sensor are available with industry standard 1″, 1.5″ or 2″ sanitary clamp fittings, pressure ranges include vacuum, compound and gauge ranges as low as 50 inches water column, 4-20 mA 2-wire output signal, 0 – 10 v, 0 – 5 v, 0.5 – 4.5 v 3-wire voltage signal. Food processing, beverage, bio/pharmaceutical, and industrial applications typically require this rugged, high-accuracy pressure transmitter.
