Brief Description of Ceramic Pressure Sensor and Applications

The anti-corrosion ceramic pressure sensor has no liquid transmission. The pressure directly acts on the front surface of the ceramic diaphragm, causing the membrane to deform slightly. The thick film resistor is printed on the back of the ceramic diaphragm and connected to a Wheatstone bridge (closed), due to the piezoresistive effect of the varistor, the bridge generates a highly linear voltage signal proportional to the pressure and proportional to the excitation voltage. The standard signal is calibrated to 2.0 / 3.0 / 3.3 according to the pressure range. mV / V, etc., compatible with strain gage sensors.

Ceramic is a recognized material with high elasticity, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, shock resistance and vibration. Ceramic’s thermal stability and its thick film resistance can make it work temperature range up to -40 to 125 ℃, and has high accuracy and high stability of measurement. The degree of electrical insulation is> 2kV, the output signal is strong, and the long-term stability is good. High-performance, low-cost ceramic sensors will be the development direction of pressure sensors.

Ceramic Diaphragm Pressure Sensor PS100E01 Smart Volume Easy For Encapsulation
PS100E01 Series Ceramic Diaphragm Pressure Sensor

PS100E01 series low cost ceramic pressure sensors are piezoresistive ceramic sensors with a ratiometric output signal 0.5-4.5V. The signal conditioning is done by a small PCB, which is mounted directly to the sensor. This product has been developed for low cost applications(e.g. automotive applications). Thanks to the good chemical resistance of the ceramic the PS100E01 sensors can measure pressure in nearly all aggressive media.
