The full name of the BSP thread is the British Standard Pipe Thread, which refers to the British standard pipe thread. BSP threads are divided into two types according to their shape: BSPP (British Standard Pipe Parallel) and TapePT (British Standard Pipe Taper). BSPP has other different names, common such as BSPF (British Standard Pipe Fitting), BSPM (British Standard Pipe Mechanical) and PS (British Standard Pipe Straight), However, with the beginning of ISO standardization, these various styles were replaced by a simple and clear letter. This is the G thread, then: G = BSPP = BSPF = BSPM = PS, G thread is divided into inner and outer threads for unsealed connection.
